Network Technician

This program is an introduction to client and server operating systems, hardware, and the devices that connect them. Upon completion of the program, students will be able to demonstrate network managing and troubleshooting skills, and solid internetworking skills in Local Area Network (LAN) or Wide Area Networks (wan), including routers, switches, hubs, modems, and other internetworking equipment; understand protocols such as Transport Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (tcp/ip), Routing Information Protocol (Rip), Interior Gateway Routing Protocol (igrp), Enhanced igrp (eigrp) and other protocols which can be applied in small or large-scale networks are introduced to students. Students will be able to work independently or in a team environment as a computer support or network technician.
